Not Your Average Joe’s is seeking an Assistant General Manager to drive day-to-day restaurant operations. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee hourly staff, uphold quality standards, systems, and culture, and assist in marketing and financial results.

Qualifications

• Past experience as restaurant manager is required.
• Extensive food & beverage knowledge, with ability to recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and staff.
• Strong leadership and staff coaching skills.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software.
• Ability to coordinate a staff and maintain a neat, professional image.
• Hospitable, warm, and polite demeanor toward guests.
• Excellent problem resolution and guest recovery skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Able to stand and move for long hours in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure restaurant is fully staffed at all times.
• Interview, train, counsel, and coach staff.
• Ensure training materials, development and schedules are followed.
• Communicate clearly with all team members.
• Maintain a harassment-free environment for all team members.
• Manage labor on a shift-to-shift basis while preserving guest experience.
• Achieve budgeted sales and profit goals.
• Maintain operational excellence for efficient restaurant operations.
• Ensure all laws and regulations are followed.
• Create an atmosphere that guests and employees enjoy.
• Perform other duties as needed.
