Job summary

Not Your Average Joe’s is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead day-to-day operations in both dining room and kitchen, including line work. You will report to the General Manager and oversee hourly staff, ensuring quality standards, recipe adherence, and consistent guest experience.

You will collaborate with the GM and Chef on marketing and contribute to overall financial results while fostering a friendly, energetic, and team-oriented culture in a high-volume restaurant in Acton.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a full-service restaurant at a supervisory level.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on team development.
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the restaurant is fully staffed across shifts while maintaining guest experience.
• Interview, train, coach, and supervise staff to meet standards.
• Ensure training materials, schedules, and development are followed.
• Communicate clearly with all team members and foster a harassment-free environment.
• Manage labor and adjust schedules while safeguarding guest experience.
• Achieve budgeted sales and profits and maintain operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Create an enjoyable restaurant atmosphere for patrons and employees.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
