Job summary

Books-A-Million in Roswell, GA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a busy Books & More store, coach a team, and partner with the General Manager to deliver exceptional customer experiences across sales floors, buy counter, and back room operations.

You will own daily leadership, staffing, merchandising, schedules, and store standards while nurturing community connections and driving results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous supervisor experience and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to supervise many associates and make sound merchandising decisions.
• Proven communication, decision-making, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations as Manager On Duty and partner with the General Manager.
• Hire, train, and develop Associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain store standards, merchandising, and scheduling to meet business goals.
• Drive results while ensuring a safe, welcoming, family-friendly shopping environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
