Job summary

Popeyes is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Carpentersville, IL to support daily operations, coach staff, and uphold Popeyes’ renowned hospitality. This hands-on leadership role requires driving performance, guest experience, and profitability in a fast-paced environment.

The AGM will lead shifts, mentor team members, manage labor and costs, ensure safety standards, and partner with the GM to deliver exceptional results. Strong people leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of restaurant or retail management experience (QSR a plus).
• People-first leadership with hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Love for fast-paced environments and great food.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays.
• Familiarity with managing food and labor costs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily restaurant operations from front counter to back of house.
• Lead shifts with confidence to ensure speed, accuracy and guest experiences.
• Coach, develop and motivate team to hit service and performance goals.
• Monitor food quality, safety standards and cleanliness.
• Assist in managing labor, food costs and profitability.
• Respond to guest feedback and resolve concerns with care.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety procedures; other duties as assigned.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
