Applegreen USA in Palisades Park, NJ seeks an Assistant General Manager to assist the General Manager in running daily operations at busy travel plazas. This role provides hands-on management experience and opportunities to develop judgment and discretion in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead teams, supervise staff, uphold brand standards, ensure cash control and customer satisfaction, and support performance feedback and training. Flexibility and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of QSR or similar management experience.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork and communicate objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management staff and shift managers.
• Fill in for the general manager when absent.
• Motivate staff and maintain high morale.
• Ensure brand standards, cash handling, and daily reports.
• Address customer needs and maintain inventory accuracy.
