Applegreen USA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run daily operations at one of our travel plazas in New Jersey. You will lead frontline teams, ensure great guest service, and support store performance with a strong focus on safety and brand standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of quick‑service management experience, a flexible schedule, and the ability to lift over 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management ability.
• Excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication with business sense.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in quick-service restaurant management.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding.
• Ability to lift or push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Perform duties in the absence of the General Manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during low morale.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion and ensure company policies are followed.
• Maintain awareness of brand standards to maximize brand and labor relations.
• Maintain the restaurant’s cleanliness, appearance, and brand standards.
• Accurately manage cash and process daily reports as directed.
• Address customer needs, resolve issues, and build positive relationships.
• Ensure inventory data accuracy through spot counts and checks.
