Applegreen USA is seeking an Assistant General Manager in New Jersey to help the General Manager run day-to-day operations at our travel plazas. You’ll lead teams, coach staff, and ensure service standards, speed, and accuracy align with brand promises while maintaining cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere.

This role offers growth into management, emphasizes judgment and discretion, strong leadership, guest relations, and partnerships with operations to sustain performance and high morale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and guide shifts supervisors; ensure store level operation performance.
• Step in for the general manager in their absence and maintain smooth operations.
• Motivate staff and maintain high morale, especially during challenging times.
• Maintain strong leadership and organizational skills across all shifts.
• Address issues in a timely fashion and ensure policy adherence.
• Ensure brand standards and brand/landlord/labor relations are upheld.
