Applegreen is seeking an Assistant General Manager for our New Jersey travel plaza network. You will support the General Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, consistent customer service, and adherence to brand standards.

This entry-level management path offers hands-on learning, leadership experience, and exposure to supervising front-line teams, inventory, and cash control in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of quick service restaurant management experience.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Flexible with scheduling, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management staff, assign tasks, and coach shift supervisors.
• Step in for the general manager as needed.
• Motivate staff during times of low morale.
• Ensure brand standards and store procedures are followed.
• Maintain cash handling accuracy and daily reports.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build lasting relationships.
• Monitor inventory and perform spot counts.
