Job summary

Element by Marriott in Denver is seeking a motivated Assistant General Manager to lead daily hotel operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will be a friendly, hands-on self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with prior Marriott experience preferred.

You will oversee front desk operations, staff development, and profitability while ensuring brand standards. Competitive salary between $65,000 and $70,000 with an annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory hotel operations experience or equivalent leadership roles.
• Open availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Friendly, professional, guest-focused attitude.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front desk operations, including check-in/check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries.
• Lead guest service efforts to ensure high satisfaction and resolve concerns promptly.
• Train, coach, and mentor front desk staff on service standards and brand expectations.
• Assist with scheduling, payroll support, reporting, and inventory management.
• Act as Manager on Duty as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Support the General Manager with daily operations, staff accountability, and operational planning.
• Maximize ADR and occupancy.
• Coordinate communications between Sales and Operating departments.
• Understand financial statements and budgeting guidelines.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to improve operations.
• Maintain a cooperative and positive work environment.
