Job summary

Coury Hospitality is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in promoting, managing, and coordinating daily hotel operations in Norwood, MA. The role focuses on delivering authentic, exceptional hospitality and driving revenue through strategic planning and cost control.

The candidate will lead departmental teams, oversee Front Office operations, prepare forecasts and budgets, and monitor performance data while maintaining a safe work environment and strong guest

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of overall hotel operations.
• Working knowledge of Opera, Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving history, subject to company approval.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and a professional image to associates and guests.
• Strong management skills, ability to delegate effectively to achieve goals.
• Ability to manage difficult guest situations and respond promptly to guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists the General Manager in leading departmental teams in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies.
• Oversees the Front Office and other hotel departments to ensure an optimal level of service and hospitality for guests.
• Assists the GM in preparation of forecasts and reports and in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the budget to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
• Reviews financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
• Provides a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA/MSDS and ensures a viable key control program.
