Courtyard Boston Norwood/Canton is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help lead daily hotel operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will support department heads, ensure top-tier service, and assist in forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to optimize revenue and control costs.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of overall hotel operations.
• Working knowledge of Opera and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in leading departmental teams in developing and implementing property-wide strategies.
• Oversee Front Office and other departments to ensure optimal service for guests.
• Assist in forecasts, reports, and budget development to maximize revenue and control expenses.
• Review financial statements and performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
• Support a safe working environment and maintain a viable key control program.

About The Opportunity

The Assistant General Manager assists the General Manager in promoting, managing, and coordinating the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring each guest interaction embodies the company's dedication to authenticity, innovation, and memorable hospitality.

What you'll get to do

• Assists the General Manager in leading the departmental teams in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies


• Oversees the Front Office and other hotel departments to ensure an optimal level of service and hospitality are provided to hotel guests


• Assists the GM in preparation of forecasts and reports and assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the budget to maximize revenue and minimize expenses


• Reviews financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement


• Provides a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA/MSDS and ensures that a viable key control program is in place

Skills And Experience

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred


• Intermediate knowledge of overall hotel operations


• Working knowledge of Opera, Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook


• Must have a valid driver's license, and acceptable driving history subject to company approval


• Ability to demonstrate leadership and a professional image to associates and guests


• Strong management skills, ability to appropriately assign/delegate work and authority to others in the accomplishment of goals


• Ability to manage difficult guest situations, respond promptly to guest needs
