Job summary

CAVA is hiring an Assistant General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations and drive performance. You will partner with the GM and Area Leader to execute action plans, manage labor, inventory, and budgets while mentoring hourly Team Members.

You will model our values, supervise service quality, and motivate the team to deliver an exceptional guest experience, while supporting across profit and loss initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory/management experience in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Willing to work nights/weekends and travel as needed.
• Ability to manage budgets and cost control.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment and solve problems.
• Generous and friendly demeanor with guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in daily operations, including opening/closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and feedback.
• Support General Manager with scheduling and staffing.
• Address Team Member issues to maintain a positive work environment.
• Improve guest experience by upholding high service standards and addressing concerns.
• Lead strategies to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Assist with managing financial reports and performance metrics.
• Maintain accurate financial records and cash handling procedures.
• Oversee food safety practices and team training on procedures.
• Assist with inventory management and operational record-keeping.
• Support with report preparation and action plans.
• Participate in special projects to drive restaurant success.
