Applegreen seeks an Assistant General Manager to support daily operations and help ensure smooth guest experiences at our travel plazas. You will work closely with the General Manager to lead staff, uphold brand standards, and drive performance in a fast-paced environment.

This role offers hands-on management development, opportunities to learn decision-making and discretion, and exposure to store-level operations while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people-management abilities with a proven track record.
• Strong customer service orientation and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal communication and business acumen.
• 2+ years of quick service restaurant or similar management experience.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives.
• Supervise non-management staff, assign tasks, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Cover duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during challenging times.
• Uphold leadership, organization, and timely issue resolution.
• Ensure company policies and brand standards are followed.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and daily cash handling per directives.
• Address customer needs and build long-term relationships.
