Sandpiper Hospitality (SH) is seeking an Assistant General Manager to act as the essential second-in-command and lead daily hotel operations in Reno, NV. You will support the GM in managing front desk, guest experience, and performance across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years of hands-on hotel operations experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with budgeting and financial management; ability to manage payroll and related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight & Manager on Duty: Assume responsibility for shifts at the front desk and share MOD duties with the GM.
• Direct and develop at least two employees; participate in hiring, firing, promotion, payroll approval, and annual performance reviews.
• Assist the GM in cash management, budgetary control (labor, room expense, inventory), and managing property revenue; conduct sales activities to increase occupancy and revenue.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and clean rooms; monitor social media; uphold Say Yes to a Simple Request program.
• Protect company assets and guest information; provide back-up duties to ensure smooth operations.
