Sandpiper Hospitality (SH) in Fredericksburg, VA, seeks an Assistant General Manager to be the essential second-in-command, supporting the GM in day-to-day hotel operations.

This hands-on leadership role drives performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction across all departments, from front desk oversight to staff development and budget monitoring.

Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications include a proven track record of driving operational efficiency and profitability.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: experience managing operations within major hotel brands (e.g., Choice, IHG, Marriott).
• Experience with budgeting, financial management, or project management.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight & Manager on Duty: supervise front desk operations and share Manager on Duty duties with the GM.
• Team Leadership & Development: direct the work of employees, participate in payroll decisions, and conduct performance appraisals.
• Financial & Sales Support: monitor cash management, budgeting, and revenue; conduct sales calls to increase occupancy and revenue.
• Quality & Guest Experience: monitor guest satisfaction and ensure clean rooms and high service standards.
• Property & Asset Protection: safeguard company assets and guest information; support housekeeping and front desk as needed.
