Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is hiring an Assistant General Manager to lead drive-in operations and oversee crew, carhops, and shift management. You will train staff, manage schedules, monitor inventory and payroll records, and ensure adherence to safety and service standards.

You will develop action plans to improve financial performance, implement marketing initiatives, and ensure an outstanding guest experience during all hours of operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced studies in business or restaurant management preferred.
• Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Willingness to work a minimum 5-day week with irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Knowledge of labor laws and health/sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Leads and coaches Crew, Carhops, and management team to meet operational standards.
• Directs and assigns staff to ensure all aspects of food service meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintains adherence to employee policies and procedures.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties and prepares staff schedules.
• Monitors inventory and orders supplies within cost controls.
• Maintains payroll records and employment-related paperwork.
• Focuses on customer service and promptly resolves guest requests and complaints.
• Interviews and hires staff to achieve proper staffing.
• Develops and implements action plans to improve financial or sales trends.
