Job summary

Le Pain Quotidien in the United States is seeking an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager to elevate the guest experience, lead a high-performing team, and drive restaurant performance.

You will recruit, coach, manage labor, safeguard food safety, and protect profitability through forecasting and cost controls, with a focus on daytime hours and a welcoming culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Restaurant Leadership experience in a comparable concept.
• Passion for hospitality and ability to lead a team with energy, empathy and vision.
• Proven ability to build culture and motivate staff daily.
• Ability to connect with guests and community to boost brand presence and sales.
• Strong operational instincts with high service, food quality and guest satisfaction.
• Balance day-to-day with long-term goals and empower your team to grow.
• Exposure to P&L, forecasting, inventory and COGs.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor, coaching team members, engaging with guests during service.
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency to build loyalty.
• Partner with GM to recruit, interview, hire, and retain a high-performing team.
• Support in optimizing labor deployment to balance service with budgets.
• Lead Front of House with seamless opening, mid-shift and closing execution.
• Oversee food safety protocols and checklists to safeguard quality.
• Manage food costs and inventory; input orders and troubleshoot variances.
• Share P&L accountability, driving profitability via forecasting and labor deployment.
