Job summary

The Buona Companies is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Illinois to drive restaurant and catering sales while managing personnel and budgets. You will lead a team, implement training, and ensure adherence to policies to sustain growth and profitability.

Responsibilities include revenue enhancement, expense control, and developing staff into shift leaders, all within a family-oriented culture and strong corporate structure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in an AGM role (QSR preferred).
• Drive-thru and Catering experience preferred.
• Experience leading 10+ team members per shift.
• Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent administrative, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager is responsible for attaining the sale and profit targets established for Buona Restaurant and Buona Catering retail.

Responsibilities:

• Recognize all revenue areas & development strategies to impact sales
• Enforce and execute advertising and marketing plans, and HR and training materials
• Manage and control direct expenses
• Direct labor, food cost variances, repairs and maintenance, discounts, and other direct expenses
• Selection, retention, supervision, and training of all employees
• Adhere to established training programs
• Determine advancement/termination
• Develop employees into shift managers
• Provide guidance to our talented & motivated team and lead them toward success
• Embrace our balanced corporate structure and strong, family-culture
• Enforce policies, procedures, and controls

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years in a AGM role (QSR preferred)
