Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. seeks an Assistant Food Service Director to help lead a large jail-based food operation with production kitchens. You will supervise staff, ensure health-code compliance, and coordinate with the Food Service Director on menus and staffing on site in North Las Vegas, NV.

This role requires strong leadership, a passion for food service, and the ability to adapt to changing needs while maintaining high standards and quality service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience; must be at least 18.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and with food service management systems.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Develop positive connections with clients requires communicating with them.
• Oversee appropriate quantities of food prepared and served per plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in advance preparation of planned menu schedule.
• Ensure that food items are stored properly.
• Maintain serving schedules to ensure items are served per menu specifications.
• Maintain a sanitary environment following codes and regulations.
• Responsible for any state or other inspection of food service operation.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
