Job summary

Trinity Services Group seeks an Assistant Food Service Director to partner with the Food Service Director in running a large jail meal program. This on-site role focuses on directing staff, ensuring menu adherence, and maintaining safety and sanitation.

You will hire, train, and supervise team members, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with Health Department codes while delivering quality meals and reliable service in a secure facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and with food service management systems.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the guidance, training, and management of the facility food service operation.
• You will hire, orient, train and issues corrective action to team members.
• Oversee the appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served according to facility or site plan.
• Maintain accuracy of inventory in advance preparation of planned menu schedule.
• Ensure that food items are stored properly.
• Maintain all serving schedules to ensure all food items are served per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner according to departmental guidelines.
• Maintain a sanitary environment following food service and Health Department codes and regulations.
• Responsible for any state or other inspection of food service operation.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
