Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to partner with the Food Service Director to plan, direct, and coordinate activities for running a large food service operation with one or more production kitchens.

The role supervises a team of food service workers, ensuring safety, accuracy, and quality. Candidates should have strong leadership, knowledge of food handling regulations, and a commitment to learning and delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
• Basic accounting and mathematical ability to complete reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food service management systems.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and manage facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective actions when applicable.
• Review and approve payroll on a weekly basis.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure satisfaction with products and services.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served per plan.
• Ensure staff are trained for safe and compliant performance.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for planned menus.
• Oversee ordering and reporting requirements.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs to protect assets.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and local, state, and federal laws.
• Plan for special events and function meetings with customers.
