Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services in Cromwell, CT, seeks a Facilities Director to lead the Facilities Department, overseeing maintenance, grounds, and apartment refurbishments, and aligning with campus safety and accreditation standards.

You will manage work orders, coordinate with contractors and in-house staff, hire and develop facilities teams, and implement policies. A strong background in building systems, project management, and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of facilities management experience.
• Senior-level facilities manager or equivalent leadership experience.
• Knowledge of building systems (electric, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and refurb departments and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Oversee safety programs and training within the department and campus.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and develop facilities staff in collaboration with leadership and HR.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and in-house maintenance teams.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for facilities operations.
