Job summary

HOAMCO seeks an Assistant Executive Director to act as an executive operational leader supporting the Executive Director. This role focuses on governance, operational administration, landscape and maintenance oversight, and compliance for the HOA community of 2,247 homes, with resort operations as a secondary focus.

You will oversee HOA governance, financial health, and common area administration, while serving as backup for the Executive Director and maintaining cross-functional familiarity

Qualifications

• 3+ years of on-site HOA management experience.
• CMCA or AMS designation via CAI preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of Arizona HOA statutes and open meeting laws.
• Strong financial oversight including budgeting and P&L management.
• Experience overseeing landscape operations and vendor contracts.
• Experience managing communities or resorts with 1,000+ units.
• Proficiency with MS Office and HOA management software.
• HOA-specific education or certifications or equivalent training.
• Servant leadership philosophy with a culture of care and service.

Responsibilities

• Enforce CC&Rs, Bylaws, and Rules & Regulations in line with documents and Arizona statutes.
• Assist with annual budget prep, variance analysis, and monitor P&L across entities.
• Direct landscape operations and vendor performance and reviews.
• Prepare board meeting packets and minutes; manage elections.
• Oversee Design Review workflows and site inspections across 2,247 homesites.
• Produce regular financial and operational reports; attend/lead meetings.
