Job summary

Learning Care Group in Metuchen, NJ is seeking an Assistant Director to help ensure the safe, effective operation of the school alongside the School Director, and to step in with sole responsibility when the Director is absent.

You will assist in promoting the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children, while maintaining licensing standards and leading staff teams. This role emphasizes safety, quality care, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have leadership experience and at least 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare facility.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must meet state requirements for education and our center requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the school operates safely and effectively with the School Director.

In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. The Assistant Director assists in the promotion of the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.


• Must have previous leadership experience and at least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.


• High School diploma or equivalent.


• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.


• Required BA degree.

Compensation/Benefits:

• Compensation of $22.78/starting hourly based on Position, Education and Experience. Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options.
