Job summary

EY seeks an Assistant Director – Data Engineering & Analytics Platforms to shape enterprise data, analytics and AI capabilities across the organization. You will guide architecture, mentor teams and deliver scalable data platforms using Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric, driving measurable business value.

You’ll influence AI adoption, collaborate with executives and delivery teams, and help manage onshore/offshore transitions while maintaining high standards for security and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology discipline.
• 8–12 years of progressive professional experience in data engineering or analytics technology delivery.
• Experience providing technical leadership to development teams and guiding architecture decisions.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric; experience with at least one platform required.
• Strong knowledge of data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, modelling, testing and production support.
• Experience reviewing designs, pipelines and analytics solutions for reliability and performance.
• Experience managing risks, dependencies and delivery timelines.
• Experience leading onshore and offshore delivery and knowledge-transfer activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for enterprise data, analytics and AI platform initiatives from requirements to deployment and support.
• Guide architecture and solution-design decisions to meet security, scalability and operational needs.
• Lead technical workstreams and multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Review data pipelines and platform integrations for reliability, scalability and performance.
• Manage risks, dependencies and delivery timelines with governance and quality controls.
• Identify and remove barriers, helping teams resolve complex technical issues.
• Coach and mentor team members and promote consistent engineering practices.
• Communicate technical risks and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Lead onshore and offshore readiness, knowledge transfer and post-transition stabilization.
