Job summary

EY is seeking an Assistant Director for Data Engineering & Analytics Platforms to shape enterprise data, AI capabilities and analytics across our global teams. You will guide technical direction, mentor engineers, and deliver scalable data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and AI technologies.

You’ll influence architecture, governance and transitions, working with stakeholders across time zones to realize measurable business value and secure, high-performing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technology discipline.
• 8–12 years in data engineering, analytics engineering or related field.
• Proven technical leadership guiding architecture and design decisions.
• Hands-on with Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric platforms.
• Strong skills in data ingestion, transformations, orchestration and production support.
• Experience guiding onshore/offshore delivery and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to mentor teams and drive accountability across queues.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for enterprise data, analytics and AI platform initiatives from inception to production support.
• Guide architecture decisions to meet security, scalability and quality requirements.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams through design, development, testing and deployment.
• Review designs, data pipelines and integrations for reliability and performance.
• Manage risks, dependencies and timelines with governance and quality controls.
• Remove delivery barriers and resolve complex issues across teams.
• Coach and mentor team members to strengthen engineering practices.
• Communicate technical risks and options clearly to stakeholders.
• Lead onshore and offshore transitions including knowledge transfer and handoffs.
• Establish ownership, escalation paths and quality expectations across distributed teams.
