Job summary

EY is seeking an Assistant Director for Data Engineering & Analytics Platforms to shape enterprise data, analytics and AI capabilities. You will partner with architects and engineering teams to deliver modern data platforms and impactful AI solutions using Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.

You will guide architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and promote secure, scalable, high-performing analytics with a focus on AI adoption and governance across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technology discipline required.
• 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in data engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated technical leadership guiding architecture and design decisions.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric (required).
• Strong knowledge of data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, integration, modeling, testing, monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for enterprise data, analytics and AI platform initiatives from design to production support.
• Guide architecture and solution-design decisions ensuring security, scalability and performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Review data pipelines, platform integrations and analytics solutions for reliability and scalability.
• Manage risks, dependencies and delivery timelines with governance and quality controls.
• Identify and remove delivery barriers and assist teams in solving complex issues.
• Coach and mentor team members and promote best engineering practices.
• Communicate risks and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Lead onshore and offshore delivery transitions including knowledge transfer and handoffs.
