Job summary

NC State University’s Academic Success Center seeks an Assistant Director (EPS) to lead the Undergraduate and Graduate Writing Centers, hire and train tutors, and drive program quality across campus.

In this 12-month, non-tenure track role you will supervise staff, coordinate workshops, build partnerships with Libraries and other units, and shape writing support strategies that enhance student learning and success.

Qualifications

• Writing and/or speaking tutoring and/or teaching experience.
• Comfort with technology for data collection, assessment, and presentations.
• Familiar with recent research and scholarship on writing and/or speaking tutoring/support

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of the Undergraduate and Graduate Writing Centers, including hiring, scheduling, training, and supporting tutors.
• Establish data collection and reporting processes; analyze tutoring outcomes and inform program improvement.
• Collaborate with ASC leadership to develop policies and initiatives that advance center goals.
