NC State University’s Academic Success Center seeks an Assistant Director (EPS) to lead the Undergraduate and Graduate Writing Centers, hire and train tutors, and drive program quality across campus.
In this 12-month, non-tenure track role you will supervise staff, coordinate workshops, build partnerships with Libraries and other units, and shape writing support strategies that enhance student learning and success.
Anticipated Hiring Range $60,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with experience)
Work Schedule Monday - Friday - 8:00AM - 5:00PM; occasional evening hours

The Assistant Director is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track staff ( EPS ) position and a key member of the Academic Success Center ( ASC ) leadership team. In this role you will work closely with the Director and ASC colleagues, provide leadership for the Undergraduate and Graduate Writing Centers, and contribute to the Center’s teaching, training, programming, assessment, and strategic planning. This position offers an opportunity to shape high-impact writing and speaking support services and build partnerships that strengthen student learning across the University.
You will bring strong organizational, communication, teaching, and program leadership skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective partnerships across campus. This is an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative academic support environment while helping advance programs that strengthen students’ writing and speaking skills and academic success.
