Job summary

Augusta University is seeking an Assistant Director to join the Academic Advisement Center and lead the Academic and Career Advising team. You will supervise full‑time advisors, guide advising in one of three meta‑major areas, and help implement the university‑wide advisement strategy to support student success.

You will collaborate with other ADs to maintain high‑performance, student‑centered service, manage technology systems, and develop workshops for academic and career development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum of two years of academic advising experience.
• Experience with supervision and staff development.
• Experience in student development or first‑year experience programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AAC Leadership Team and oversee advising programs.
• Develop and implement technology‑based advising strategies to enhance student contact.
• Manage a caseload of advisees and staff with staffing and performance oversight.
• Liaise with academic colleges, departments and campus schools on advising projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
