Job summary

Augusta University is seeking an Assistant Director for Student Transitions to lead training for academic advising staff and oversee students in transition. You will supervise the Advisor for Student Transitions and collaborate with Academic Affairs, Enrollment and Student Affairs, and other units to design interventions that boost persistence and degree completion.

A strong background in advising and professional development is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum two years of academic advising experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and facilitate onboarding and ongoing training for Advisement Center staff.
• Coordinate support services for students in transition and supervise the Advisor for Student Transitions.
• Collaborate with campus partners to improve student persistence and outcomes.
• Manage relationships with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
• Pursue professional development and stay current on advising trends.
