Job summary

Augusta Technical College seeks an Academic Advisor to deliver high-quality academic advisement and enrollment support. You will assist incoming and first-semester students, conduct virtual advising sessions, and coordinate with the Financial Aid Office to ensure enrollment requirements are met.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s preferred and experience in student affairs. Strong communication, organizational, and confidential handling of student records are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, educational administration, vocational leadership, or closely related field.
• Master's degree preferred with 3 years of related experience in student affairs.
• Experience in advising or student services is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising and registration assistance to incoming and first-semester students.
• Offer virtual advising appointments and respond to inquiries via Advising Center inbox.
• Guide students on degree requirements, transcripts, and institutional policies.
• Refer students to Financial Aid and support enrollment completion.
• Assist with planning Advising Center programs and events and collaborate with campus partners.
• Maintain accurate student records per institutional policies and stay current on programs and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Services.
