Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Training and Development Lead to coach Product Sales Specialists and elevate customer service. You will build product knowledge, run certification courses, and ensure a positive shopping experience in a fast-paced home improvement retail setting.

Responsibilities include directing staff, merchandising, pricing accuracy, and delivering customer-focused solutions while upholding safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

Responsibilities

• Act in line with company core values.
• Ensure safe lifting practices are followed.
• Drive and teach the basic P’s of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing.
• Direct and support product sales specialists to deliver attentive customer service.
• Complete all product specialist certification courses.
• Understand merchandise and installation details.
• Maintain department merchandising, pricing and organization.
• Communicate SOPs and changes to associates in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory needs and showroom processing.
• Greet customers warmly and assist with product questions and selections.
• Handle checkout, refunds, and exchanges per guidelines.
• Present 'how-to' classes to customers.
