Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a dedicated trainer to develop Product Sales Specialists and ensure customers have a positive shopping experience by receiving exceptional product information and service in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role leads onboarding and certification of product knowledge, enforces merchandising and pricing standards, and partners with store leadership to train teams, promote pro-customer interactions, and help drive sales growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of customer service/sales experience or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Act and work in a manner consistent with company core values
• Demonstrate safe lifting practices and SOPs
• Drive and teach the basic P's of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing
• Provide direction to product sales specialists for excellent customer service
• Complete all product specialist certification courses
• Demonstrate understanding of merchandise and installation
• Ensure overall merchandising, pricing and organization of the department
• Communicate SOP changes to associates promptly
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification
• Communicate inventory needs to management
• Direct and assist merchandise flow to showroom floor
• Validate product placement and pricing
• Greet every customer in a helpful and courteous manner
• Assist customers with product questions and selections
• Process customers at checkout using POS system
• Process refunds and exchanges per guidelines
• Present how-to classes to customers
• Follow cash, check and card procedures
• Answer the telephone per guidelines
• Stock and tag displays; create price tags and signs
