Job summary

15 Silver Cliff Ranch is seeking an Assistant Cook to help prepare high-quality meals and deliver exceptional hospitality to guests from around the country. You will work with the Dining Services Manager to plan daily menus, mentor staff, and lead kitchen operations when needed.

Candidates should have 2+ years in culinary roles, be familiar with dietary restrictions, and pursue CFPM certification. This role offers full-time status with benefits and housing stipend support.

Qualifications

• 2 years+ experience running restaurants or school kitchens, or experience as sous chef preferred.
• Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification or willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation & menu planning for daily meals and groups.
• Provide dietary accommodations for Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Vegetarian, and other restrictions; follow cross-contamination protocols.
• Lead kitchen operations and direct staff when the Dining Services Manager is off.
• Mentor seasonal kitchen staff and ensure timely, high-quality meal service.
• Maintain sanitation, hygiene and safety across kitchen, dining hall, and dishwashing areas.
• Assist with inventory, ordering food and supplies, and campus-wide turnover cleanups.
