Job summary

Front Porch in Claremont, CA is seeking a Lead Cook to prepare culinary delights for our residents and execute the menu, ensuring high quality, appealing presentation and guest satisfaction.

You will lead daily food preparation across pantry, fry stations and other kitchen areas, supervise cooks and staff, manage food cost, maintain equipment and uphold health department sanitation and safety standards.

This is a full-time benefited position with shifts that will vary to meet community needs.

Qualifications

• Food handlers certification from local health department.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cook Lead role: prepare culinary items and execute menus for residents.
• Provide quality customer service to residents, families, and staff.
• Assist in controlling food costs and maintaining sanitation standards.
• Supervise cooks, assistants, and food service workers as directed.
• Ensure timing of preparation meets service schedules and safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper appearance of the kitchen and dining area.
