Job summary

EEI is looking for an Assistant Controller in Denver, supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will assist with month-end closing processes and maintain strong internal controls, contributing to continuous improvement in accounting practices.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 7+ years of relevant experience. This position offers both remote and in-office work options with comprehensive benefits including health insurance and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a project-based construction or engineering services environment.
• Ability to work within firm deadlines.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development of documented procedures for all accounting staff/functions.
• Assist in managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
