Job summary

Checkr is seeking a Director, Assistant Controller in Denver, CO to lead the corporate accounting function and develop a strong accounting team. This role involves implementing accounting policies compliant with US GAAP and driving the month-end and year-end closing process.

The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of relevant experience including a CPA certification, a bias for action, and a history of improving accounting processes. This is a full-time, onsite position offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience with an increasing level of scope in accounting roles.
• Experience in a SOX-controlled environment is a plus.
• Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team across GL accounting and treasury.
• Implement accounting policies for compliance with US GAAP.
• Drive timeline reductions for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
