Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance required.
• 8+ years progressive accounting experience or Big 4/public accounting.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and M&A accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close across a multi-entity org.
• Oversee consolidations, intercompany accounting, eliminations, and reporting.
• Partner with Finance on reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Manage and develop accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Support M&A accounting and post-acquisition integration.

Our client, a Denver area based Tech Services company is looking to add a Controller to join their growth organization. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the President/CEO. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical accounting background, a proven ability to lead teams, and the mindset of a builder who enjoys creating structure in a growing environment. The Controller will play a critical role in strengthening accounting operations, improving reporting processes, maintaining audit readiness, and scaling the finance function as the company continues to grow organically and through acquisitions.

Responsibilities for Controller in Denver, CO:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across a multi-entity organization
• Oversee consolidations, intercompany accounting, eliminations, and financial reporting activities
• Partner with Finance leadership on reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis
• Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
• Support M&A accounting and post-acquisition integration efforts

Requirements:

• BS in Accounting or Finance
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience OR Big 4/top-tier public accounting experience
• Experience managing multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition
• Exposure to M&A accounting and integration preferred
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
