Job summary

New Charter Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to support operating companies by preparing financial information, managing day-to-day accounting, and contributing to scalable financial operations. This is a remote position.

You will partner with the Assistant Controller and accounting teammates while using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central to process transactions, prepare journal entries and accruals, reconcile accounts, and support continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and journal entries.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC).
• Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot Tables and lookup functions.

Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable transactions including invoice entry, approvals, and payments.
• Manage Accounts Receivable including invoicing, payment application, and collections follow-up.
• Prepare journal entries and accruals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and assigned general ledger accounts.
• Research and explain forecast and budget variances.
• Support year-end audit activities.
• Drive accounting process improvements and automation initiatives.
