Essex Property Trust, Inc. seeks an Assistant Community Manager to support daily operations and lead in the absence of the Community Manager. You will handle revenue, collections, and deposits, while delivering exceptional service to residents and vendors.

The role emphasizes policy adherence, staff coaching, and compliance across Fair Housing and OSHA standards. Require a high school diploma (college degree preferred) and 2–5 years of industry experience with bookkeeping.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of industry experience or related experience.
• Two years of bookkeeping experience.
• Proficient in budgets and financial statements.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financials, sales, marketing, maintenance, and admin operations with the Community Manager.
• Complete accounting responsibilities including revenue management, collections, and deposit processing.
• Maintain high levels of customer service for prospects, residents, vendors, and corporate departments.
• Manage collections to keep delinquency within targets and ensure data integrity.
• Lead by example, supervise staff, and provide coaching when needed.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and OSHA standards.
