Job summary

Capital Square Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to co-lead day-to-day operations at an assigned community. You will manage the team, oversee leasing, collections, and facilities, and ensure compliance with applicable housing laws.

You will work onsite, coordinate with the Community Manager, and drive performance to meet revenue and occupancy targets while maintaining resident satisfaction and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, related experience/training accepted.
• Demonstrated management and supervisory skills to lead and evaluate teams.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; comprehend legal documents.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management for reports.
• Strong proficiency with community management software (Yardi preferred).
• Mathematical skills to handle financial records and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Help meet targeted revenues by ensuring rent and fees are collected and posted on time.
• Oversee leasing process: approve applications, renewals, inspections; post and collect charges as per lease terms.
• Manage delinquencies per policy and KPI targets as directed by management.
• Assist with market surveys and marketing/leasing strategies to hit occupancy goals.
• Promote resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and service requests promptly.
• Ensure maintenance standards and safety, cleanliness, and property appearance.
• Complete accounting, financial, administrative reports and other duties as assigned.
