Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in overseeing financial and operational aspects of the community. The role emphasizes customer service, professional communication, and proactive property management tasks.

Responsibilities include managing files and reports, handling resident inquiries, processing payments, coordinating evictions, renewals, and data entry in property management software, while maintaining compliance

Qualifications

• Customer service experience
• 6 months experience in property management
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to stay professional in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee file management and run assigned reports
• Provide courteous responses to resident requests using proper customer service and sales techniques
• Collect all monies due and oversee evictions, skips, and move-outs by walking units to evaluate occupancy
• Communicate with outside legal counsel during eviction processes
• Finalize move in/out and renewals files and enter data into property management software
• Oversee resident renter’s insurance procedures
• Collect deposits and process applications for future residents
• Ensure model/target apartments are ready for show and maintain a clean workspace
• Maintain knowledge of lease terms, unit specs, availability, market conditions, and company policies
• Contact apartment locator services and local businesses to provide informational material
• Market outreach and competitor property shopping
• Develop and maintain resident retention programs
• Report unusual circumstances regarding property or residents
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct
