Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Community Manager in overseeing financial and operational aspects of the community. Responsibilities include managing files, handling resident requests, processing payments, coordinating renewals, marketing outreach, and maintaining lease knowledge to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience.
• 6 months experience in the property management industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain professional and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
• Organization skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee file management and run assigned reports.
• Respond to resident requests with courteous, effective service.
• Collect monies due and oversee evictions, skips, and move-outs.
• Coordinate with legal counsel during eviction processes.
• Finalize move in/out and renewals files and enter data in PM software.
• Oversee resident renter's insurance procedures.
• Collect deposits and process applications from future residents.
• Ensure model/target apartments are ready for show and maintain a clean workspace.
• Maintain knowledge of lease terms, unit specs, availability, and market conditions.
• Communicate with apartment locator services and local businesses for materials.
• "Shop" nearby properties and conduct outreach marketing.
• Develop and maintain resident retention programs.
• Report unusual or extraordinary property circumstances.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
