Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners seeks an Assistant Community Manager to support leasing, resident relations and essential financial tasks such as rent collection and renewals across our award-winning apartment communities. You will work closely with the Community Manager to lead by example, resolve resident concerns, and empower the team to thrive with exceptional service.

The role emphasizes strong communication, calendar management, and a proactive approach to occupancy and resident

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Two years of property management experience preferred.
• CALP accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support leasing efforts by conducting tours and guiding prospects through the leasing process.
• Identify prospect needs, showcase homes, and invite them to join the community.
• Ensure lease applications, renewals, and related documents are completed accurately and on time.
• Meet occupancy goals through leasing performance and resident retention.
• Create and manage content for the community’s social media platforms.
• Oversee rent collection, check scanning, and payment posting.
• Monitor delinquencies and coordinate eviction procedures as needed.
• Conduct regular ledger reviews for billing and payments.
• Assist with financial reporting for Community Manager and regional leadership.
• Lead in the Community Manager’s absence and maintain team momentum.
• Respond to resident concerns with professionalism and empathy.
