Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Community Manager in overseeing financial and operational aspects of the community. The role emphasizes customer service, timely communications, and maintaining occupancy through diligent follow‑up and data entry in property management software.

You will handle reports, assist with move-ins/outs, renewals, and resident requests, while promoting retention programs and coordinating with outside partners.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• 6 months experience in property management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stay professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee file management and run assigned reports.
• Respond to resident requests with proper customer service and sales techniques.
• Collect all monies due and oversee evictions, skips, and move-outs; walk units to check occupancy.
• Coordinate with outside legal counsel during eviction processes.
• Finalize move in/out and renewals; enter data into PM software.
• Oversee renter’s insurance procedures and deposits; process applications.
• Ensure model/target apartments are ready for show and maintain a clean workspace.
• Maintain knowledge of lease terms, unit specs, availability, market conditions, and company policies.
• Maintain contact with apartment locator services and local businesses for informational materials.
• Conduct outreach marketing and competitive property shopping.
• Develop and maintain resident retention programs.
• Report unusual circumstances to management.
