Job summary

Wallick in Peoria, IL seeks an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations of affordable housing communities, including Section 8, Tax Credit and market-rate units. You will support occupancy, applications, and rent collections in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in a general manager role, strong communication and financial acumen, and proficiency in Word, Excel and Teams. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years in a general manager role with leadership and process management experience; HUD Section 8 knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Teams; Yardi or similar software knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with financial acumen.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining occupancy.
• Assist with the application process, including maintaining a current waiting list.
• Assist with ensuring timely rent collections.
• Assist with maintaining positive relationships with owners and residents.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
