Job summary

Wallick Communities is seeking a Senior Community Manager for the Peoria area to lead multi-site operations across five communities. You will oversee staffing, budgeting, occupancy targets, and regulatory compliance, ensuring high-quality, affordable housing for residents.

The role requires strong leadership, budget acumen, and a commitment to employees and residents. A valid driver’s license is needed, with opportunities for professional growth within a 100% employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years property management experience
• 1–3 years in a management role directing others
• Basic knowledge of accounting and budgeting
• Proficiency in computer use: MS Word/Excel
• Valid driver’s license and applicable certifications (COS/LIHTC/HCCP) if available

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-site or large communities and ensure timely task completion
• Develop staff through development opportunities and performance feedback
• Fill vacancies with qualified staff and maintain occupancy targets
• Assist Regional Manager with annual budget preparation for each community
• Ensure compliance with company standards and governing regulations
• Oversee move-ins/outs, as well as rent collections and application processing
• Maintain relationships with owners, law enforcement and residents
• Adapt schedule for candidates living outside the immediate area
