Job summary

Fairfield Residential seeks an Assistant Community Manager – Affordable to support property operations and ensure compliance with affordable housing programs. This role mentors leasing teams and drives resident satisfaction while upholding LIHTC requirements and HUD guidelines.

The position emphasizes rent collections, reconciliations, and financial reporting using Yardi, with a focus on customer service and team leadership. Strong knowledge of fair housing laws is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of residential leasing, sales, and/or property management experience required.
• Minimum of one year of LIHTC experience required.
• Experience in leadership and supervising a staff preferred.
• Experience using Yardi or other related property management accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong math and accounting skills.
• Understanding of financial statements and fair housing laws.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Accounting & Reporting: Collect and post rent, process invoices, and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Affordable Housing Compliance: Verify income and monitor rent limits for LIHTC and/or HUD programs.
• Customer Service & Leasing: Lease apartments and respond to resident inquiries promptly.
• Team Collaboration: Mentor leasing team members and support the Community Manager in daily operations.
