Job summary

Madison Reed is hiring an Assistant Colorist at our Hair Color Bar. You will support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead, learning services while ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.

Compensation includes base hourly pay, commissions, and tips; expected earnings range from $24 to $25 per hour at this location, with training for promotion to Licensed Colorist in 3–9 months.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; beauty industry preferred.
• Effective communication, problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with our values (Love, Joy, Trust, Courage, Responsibility).
• Assist in finishing services and in shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, and toner applications per guest request.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and KPIs (retail, services, memberships).
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security in the Hair Color Bar.
• Adhere to Madison Reed policies and procedures.
• Help drive revenue through memberships, subscriptions, and product sales.
• Support Colorist training to grow within the company.
